[4.27.17] Where will you be on Trump’s 100th Day? See you in DC (Details)

On Saturday, we march for jobs, justice, and climate! If you don’t have a ticket and realize there is no place you would rather be on Trump’s 100th day than circling the White House in protest, you can still get a ticket at: newyork.peoplesclimate.org. One of our great graphic designers, Susan Weill, has an extra free ticket which you can get by emailing .

REMINDERS:
  • Buses will leave promptly at 6am. Check your ticket for the location where you will board. Many sites have multiple buses—your ticket will show your bus number, as well. Plan to arrive early so you can find your bus.
  • It is predicted to be sunny and in the 80’s: wear light clothes, comfortable shoes and a hat.
  • Bring sunscreen, a water bottle, snacks and keep your bag light.
  • Bring noisemakers! A bell, small drum, maracas, etc.— very helpful when your voice gives out!
  • Download Firechat app (here’s an iTunes link and an Android link) to your cell phone. Cell phone networks may well become overloaded and this app lets you communicate even if they do.
  • There will be access to water and toilets along the route, there will also be “sweeper vans” to pick up people if they need help.
  • If you want to spend more time sitting than marching head to Navy Memorial or Lafayette Park where there will be seating available.
  • We will be bringing lots of great posters…please help with the lifting and carrying.
  • Take lots of photos and videos! Post on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitteretc. Make sure to use the #peoplesclimatemarch hashtag when you post! #350Brooklyn, #fossilfree
WHERE WE WILL MARCH: If you are not traveling with the buses but want to meet up with 350Brooklyn we will be marching in a group called Reshapers of Power, right behind the Keepers of Faith, and will be the second to last group in the march.
Although timing may change, at this point it is scheduled that we will start to assemble at Jefferson Drive SW between 3rd St. and 4th Street NW at 11:00 am and start marching at 12:30 up Pennsylvania Avenue and around the White House. The march will end in a big rally at 3:00pm at the Washington Monument and buses will leave at 5:00pm.
WE WILL MARCH UNITED TO FIGHT FOR OUR PLANET AND FUTURE GENERATIONS!
