STMP needs your help! On Saturday, April 17 — the Saturday before Earth Day — a NYC Stop-the-Money-Pipeline coalition is planning a citywide action against banks that are funding the Line 3 pipeline: Blackrock Investments, Chase bank, TD Bank, Citibank and Wells Fargo. The Line 3 pipeline is a tar sands pipeline that is being constructed on native Anishinaabe land in northern Minnesota and is currently the focal point for the national environmental movement.

In the morning, the 350BK contingent will protest at multiple bank branches in Brooklyn and then join the larger rally at Blackrock headquarters and then Chase headquarters in Manhattan. The more people we have, the more branches we can hit!

We will rally at BlackRock HQ in Manhattan at 12:30pm then march to JP Morgan Chase HQ (47th Street between Madison and Park). We will shut JP Morgan Chase down for the day as we protest in front of the bank’s HQ at 47th Street between Madison and Park.
