Join 350Brooklyn at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade!

Rising temperatures on land and water, swelling seas, flooded streets: global overheating is here.

Our city’s rainfall has risen 20% since the mid-20th century. And with 520 miles of coastline, many of our neighborhoods are especially vulnerable.

350Brooklyn’s theme for the 2025 Mermaid Parade is “Water is Rising, and So Are We.” We aim to draw the connection between burning fossil fuels and the floods that affect so many of us, and to share resources for protecting our homes and neighborhoods from flooding.

350Bk x Coney Island Mermaid Parade

The Coney Island Mermaid Parade is an annual art parade, the largest in the nation, and an iconic NYC summer event. Our contingent will be drawing attention to the rising waters caused by burning fossil fuels and invite people to take action. We need people to join us to carry our banners and artwork. It’s both fun and impactful!

Registration is necessary and there is a registration fee of $35 for those who are able to pay.

Please sign up here.
