If You Live in an Apartment You Can Still Use Solar

Most Brooklyn residents don’t control a rooftop, and that’s okay. Through community solar, you can subscribe to a local solar project and receive credits on your Con Edison electricity bill. You still receive your regular utility bill. The difference is that part of your electricity now comes from solar power, lowering your total cost. You do not install anything in your apartment.

What community solar does:

  • No construction
  • No upfront payment
  • No roof required
  • Cancelable subscriptions
