Fixing the BQE: climate progress or peril?
Tuesday, March 14th, 7:30pm
On Zoom
New Yorkers agree: the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway is a traffic nightmare that’s falling apart. But there’s no agreement on what to do. The city wants public input on plans to overhaul the crumbling roadway. Will the solutions cut greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles, or make things worse? Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon, architect/planner John Massengale, and the Regional Plan Association’s Vanessa Barrios will discuss the climate stakes and what we can do. Register in advance to attend on Zoom.
All are welcome!
