Next Meeting January 11

Did you know that in New York City buildings are responsible for 71% of the city’s carbon footprint?  Ensuring that new construction is energy-efficient is fine, but most of the work to reduce building energy use will need to address existing buildings.  The 2030 District project is an effort to accelerate progress towards sustainable cities by addressing all the ways urban governments, businesses, and residents can alter present practices to model climate mitigation and resilience.  Come hear architect Haym Gross tell us about the first 2030 District in NYC, which will start in Brooklyn’s own Community Board 2.
