An end-of-year message from 350BrooklynÂ
As we close out 2025, 350Brooklyn would like to recognize that this has been a very difficult year for our country. Our democracy, our justice system and our immigrant neighbors have been attacked as never before. The Trump regime has cut 90% of funding for wind and solar and there have been more than 300 executive orders to undo protections for our water, air, agriculture, wildlife and more, rolling back decades of legislation. The fossil fuel industry’s investment in Trump has led to devastating impacts for every aspect of our environment and the nation’s health. This has made fighting for justice and a livable world feel harder than ever. But we have been able to strengthen and use the community we’ve built with each other to continue to fight hard and effectively on many fronts, and to make a difference in both city and state arenas. We are taking this moment at the end of the year to celebrate some big victories like the election of a strong climate advocate in Zohran Mamdani as NYC Mayor.
We also want to thank everyone for your part in making “good trouble” in 2025 – and to send our best wishes for a restful and peaceful new year. We look forward to continuing our work together in 2026 to create the just world that we want where all beings can thrive.
