August 19 is shaping up to be a big day for pressuring Congress to be bold on climate, on the care economy, and on jobs with 600 rallies planned across the United States. And we’ve got two right here in NYC.
The headline event is a big rally in Battery Park near Bowling Green in Manhattan at 6 pm.

If you live in Bay Ridge or Staten Island, Bay Ridge Environmental Group is hosting a rally in front of Congresswoman Malliotakis’s office to press her to act on climate. That event is at 6 pm at 7716 Third Avenue in Brooklyn. Sign up here!
Big crowds at these events will go a long way towards stiffening the spines of our allies whom we want to go bold and perhaps persuading more reluctant members of Congress that this is where we need to go as a nation. Whichever one you chose, just come!
