Break Free Call to Action!!!
Ride the bus with New York’s climate activists and be part of the next, historic global climate action: BreakFree Albany May 14, 2016.
All over the world, people will come together at a massive, legal demonstration and civil disobedience actions in May. In the Northeast, we’ll descend upon the Port of Albany in New York, the biggest fossil fuel hub in the region. We’ll stand together–and many of us will “sit in” in an act of civil disobedience–to say NO to the ‘bomb trains,’ barges and proposed pipelines carrying Bakken crude oil through our communities…. NO to fracking and all fossil fuel infrastructure that pollutes our air and water and warm our planet. We say YES to renewable energy now!
Even if you choose not to risk arrest, we need massive turnout of people to show support with our signs and voices. This is our moment to break free from fossil fuels and make a just transition to clean, renewable energy. Let’s seize it.
