Where: Times Square
When: November 13 @ 12pm
What: Rally for climate justice

Tropical Storm Ida made it abundantly clear: here in New York, climate change is not some future problem that we can deal with down the line. It is a matter of life and death, right here, right now. With the end of the year approaching, Governor Hochul and the New York State Legislature will begin drafting their plans for the coming year’s budget.

That means it’s time to send them a message: New York State’s leaders must prioritize climate justice now. Join us  to march from Times Square to the Governor’s Manhattan office on Saturday, November 13, at 12pm.

The climate crisis impacts every aspect of our lives, deepening racial, gender, and socioeconomic injustices. When we fight for climate justice, we fight against disparities in health, education, transportation, housing, and more. When we fight for climate justice, we are fighting to save countless lives.

On Saturday, November 13, join us to call on Governor Hochul and the New York State Legislature to deliver climate justice, including the funding necessary to provide a just transition to a renewable energy economy, for the people of New York. Alongside our NY Renews partners and other allies, we’ll march to demand that New York equitably and swiftly implement the state’s climate law, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), and fully fund that law by passing the Climate and Community Investment Act (CCIA).
