Dec. 20th Bus from NYC: Tell LIPA it’s time for Offshore Wind!

Get on the bus! Tell the Long Island Power Authority: It’s time to decide!

After many delays, LIPA is poised to vote on Tuesday, December 20th to purchase power from the South Fork wind area. This vote is the green light for the project to proceed — and, paired with the 5,000 MW commitment from the governor’s office, would jump-start our renewable energy economy.

Let’s rally with others across our region to tell LIPA and Governor Cuomo that we’re ready for an offshore wind revolution!

This bus, provided by the Sierra Club, will leave Midtown New York City at 8:30AM and arrive at the rally at 10AM at 333 Earle Ovington Boulevard, Uniondale, NY. After the rally, we will pour into the LIPA board meeting to show that New Yorkers support offshore wind.

We expect that the bus will arrive back in New York City by 2:30PM.
